Washington State Parks ready for filming

This year the Washington State Parks will host multiple commercial film shoots as it has in the past.
The parks are also a great place to spend family time.
Here is a published schedule of events at some of the State Parks that you might be interested in.
Folk and Traditional Arts in the Parks
Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission’s mission involves both a commitment to care for the state’s most treasured lands, waters and historic places and a desire to connect all Washingtonians to their natural and cultural heritage through memorable experiences in the parks.
Since 2004, the Folk & Traditional Arts Program has added to those memorable experiences with performances in state parks by musicians, dancers, craftspeople and storytellers who represent a wide variety of old and new Washington traditions. From tribal canoe family journeys to Cinco de Mayo festivities, from fisher poetry to Ecuadorian song, from Hawaiian hula to old-time square dances, the program brings people together — some to celebrate a common heritage and some to explore the traditions of others. The Folk & Traditional Arts performances and events are brought to you, in part, by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Washington State Parks Foundation, and by funds generated through the sale of Washington State Parks license plates.
